Delightful Antique Czech Frosted Glass French Bulldog Charm c1900

 

A Czech moulded glass charm in the shape of a French bulldog in clear frosted glass, creating an almost pearl like finish. It retains the original gilt metal collar.

 

These charms were produced in many workshops in the town of Gablonz from 1890 until the 1930's.

 

Measures approx 4.2 cm high. This little chap would once have had faceted crystal glass eyes, I have to be honest I prefer them like this. He has some minor creases along the mould lines, this is normal for these pieces. Otherwise is in excellent undamaged condition. The metal collar has surface rust.

 

An absolutely delightful collectable piece.
