Description
This is a presentable, circulated, "Quinientos" or 500 Pesos note from Mexico. Dated March 14, 1983 this type, with a design over the watermark area, was only issued in 1983 and 1984.
It pictures Francisco Madero who proclaimed the rigged elections of 1910 null and void and began an armed revolt against Porfirio Diaz. It eventually succeeded and the long-term dictator was forced out.
