Truly remarkable antique Circa 1918 Noah's ark toy made by Ww1 English soldiers. Includes a total of 40 animals and figures all together.  What makes this piece is that it actually has the original paper sheet that shows what's goes with this Noah's ark. I've seen some examples over the years, but not with the original sheet and correct animals. Also has its original hidden compartment that allows you to put the figures inside the ark. The piece of thin wood can be taken out to put the figures in and hidden away when you put the panel back in. The paint on the ark is exceptional and the doors open and close, and the hinges are all in excellent condition. The inside part  of the ark has few light stress lines in the wood that happened naturally over time as pictured. The list of animals and figures total 40 on the sheet, but Mrs Noah has been replaced with an early period figure and an additional Noah. The original Noah is included. Also, 1 of the 2 Doves is missing from the list . Looks like everything else is what's on the list, which is fairly shocking in itself, considering, as mentioned above, it's fairly scarce to know what this set original had. The original sheet that shows the list of figures has been reinforced with scotch tape along the creases where it was folded. Some of the animals have paint loss and a few are missing their ears and horns, but all have their original paint, and all their legs and in very nice condition with no repairs whatsoever and most are in very good condition ( refer to the last 2 pictures with the animals that have some type of paint wear and the animals in the last picture are the ones that have wear are in a standing position). Overall, it is a remarkable piece that has been extremely well preserved and seldom seen in this condition with all its bells and whistles. The ark measures approximately 25" in length and  6.25+" in width and 12.50" in height.
