Description

IRISH  LADIES

.

Looking through the list of ladies mentioned in the article, I see that one was an actress (Florrie Cox) and 3 of the others were Cornwallis-West ladies whose only link with Ireland was that the older of the 3 ladies, the mother, had been born in Ireland and lived there until she was 16.

"Until she was 16" - there hangs a tale.
Patsy Fitzpatrick born to a  good Irish family, had fallen victim* to the sexually active Bertie, Prince of Wales at the age of 16.  This indiscretion prompted an immediate marriage to a Welsh noble Cornwallis-West and they produced two very attractive daughters - Shelagh and Daisy of Pless (mentioned but no photo).

5 page article with 13 photo portraits.

Page size 6¼ x 9¼ ins and 16½ x 23½ cms.  Includes surrounding pages.
