Description

This dealer whip is furnished with a nickel silver collar and end, the collar features a repousse pattern and vacant cartouche ready for engraving. The end has a round bottom featuring an inset silver Victoria head joey, along with the renowned English whip manufacturers:

'In the year 1861 Mr. Thomas Crawley started whip-making in Peterborough. He was the son of Mr. William Crawley, who was born at Bedford in 1836. Later the business was considerably extended, with whips being sent not only to all parts of the United Kingdom but shipped in large quantities worldwide.'
