This Limited Edition Medallion was commissioned by the National Defense University Foundation as a memento of the presentation of the American Patriot Award to former President George H. W, Bush at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, Washington, DC on December 6, 2002.  

Recipients of the American Patriot Award are recognized for their inspirational leadership, selfless dedication and unfailing devotion to the security of the United States of America and World Peace.

The medallion was designed by Teresa Sander, hand sculpted by Charles Vickers, and minted by Northwest Territorial Mint in Auburn, Washington with the following specifications:

Includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Picture of Bald Eagle on one side and bust of President Bush on the other. Presented in a 3" x 4" case with medallion resting in velvet.  Case has some dings but medallion is encased in plastic and is pristine.
