About the artist:
Heinz-Ludwig Beckers was born in
Berlin in 1935. He has received his
artistic and technical knowledge at
the Werkkunstschule at Braun-
schweig. His work has been shown
in many one-man shows and natio-
nal competitions as well as in a lot of
different group exhibitions.
Heinz-Ludwig Beckers is a com-
mercial artist of a natural precision
and accuracy, a master of his own
linear style. He closely keeps to rea-
lity in his drawings and "puts a
spell" on his motives with a char-
ming accuracy. In his landscapes
he fascinates with his successful
picture arrangements and his plea-
sure in inventing stories. He has got
the ability of seizing a piece of the
world or the character of a person-
nage in a network of lines, an ability
which can be found in all of his
work, for which he gets ideas on
trips to Italy, Switzerland, Denmark,
Yugoslavia and the Netherlands.
The pictures show the specific
atmosphere which is characteristic
of the respective motive.
Most of his work has been painted
with a feather, but from time to time
Beckers also likes the use of crayon
for his drawings.
