I'm pleased to present this beautiful centerpiece bowl or "lily pond" bowl from the late Depression era through the 1950s or so.
Bowls like this were made by several makers, and this one is not marked so I'm not sure if it's Cambridge, Fostoria, Heisey, or one of several other makers.
It measures 12" wide, and is approximately 2.125" deep. The glass is a vibrant aquamarine transparent color, and the bottom ring is ground and polished.
Bowls of this type were used on entryway tables filled with a bit of water and flowers, OR you also found them being used with a figural flower frog such as Cambridge's "Bashful Charlotte".
No chips, cracks or damage. I noticed a few small bubbles within the glass, but only a few. Absolutely lovely!
