Here we have a Vic Smeed Madcap (we think). Hopefully we have the correct information.

It certainly looks very ‘Vic Smeed’

but if anyone can confirm it is a smaller Madcap, we would be most grateful.

The Madcap. This is a smaller version. The original was larger.

Vic Smeed is a favourite designer of many modellers as his designs always fly.

This Madcap airframe does not seem to have been flown much it was fitted with one of the replica Mills Engines. It looked like an 030 size which seems a little small?

It’s got a RADIO ASSIST rudder fitted. This is linked to a servo (possibly a Hitec Micro). There is also a switch for a RC receiver and battery to be fitted too. These items are not included.

If there ever is a receiver battery in a pre-owned model, we would advise fitting a new one as a battery is the heart of the RC system and if you do not know the history of the pack, it’s not worth the risk. NO Receiver in the model Fit your own or return the model to FREE FLIGHT.

The Mini Mad Cap spans approximately 32 inches. Tape measure is approximately measured.

It has a rudder servo installed , but no other RC. Its not a beginners model. It is RC assist Rudder Only but you could convert to 2 to 3 channel if needed.

Where was the photos taken?

The airframe has been photographed at the Steve Webb Models upstairs show room/ stockroom. Its upstairs, but if you are unable to travel upstairs the staff will always bring items downstairs for you to see. They have a wheelchair ramp for the ground floor part of the store. SWM have recently started to sell Pre-Loved Vintage Kits in the upstairs Show Room and this model is photographed in front of a cabinet of a load of goodies. Some that are listed or might be listed in the future.
