Chinoiserie-inspired design reflecting Asian influence on Art Deco.

A tapered fountain pen is dark with black enamel and an ornate, Deco style design in gold plated finish, with 18k gold nib (size not indicated, appears Medium). 

A carved coral plaque adds a touch of color to the top of the cap and a smaller bezel-set coral cabochon rests at the very bottom of the pen. 

Art Deco arabesque and clouds décor adorn the tapered black lacquer on both barrel and cap . 

The pen has never been used nor inked. Good pre-owned condition. Light handling marks.

Includes manufacturer’s red leather display box (Cartier COST0065, the base is worn), clear lucite holder, Cartier Certificate (blank) and papers. No white outer box. 

The inner lining is quite worn, sticky and deteriorated.
