This is a beautiful example of an Original early 19th-century Oil on Panel Landscape Painting depicting an expansive British countryside setting, with ancient buildings, a large architectural river bridge, a courting couple on a small pleasure boat and tall rolling hills in the distance.
It is a painting that oozes period charm & character.
We are reliably informed that the piece is signed indistinctly in the lower left corner but sadly I can not find it.
Mounted within a beautiful (later) gesso scrolled frame that suits the painting wonderfully.
