Suspected fault in the steering rack. Not obvious on visual inspection creaking noise when on certain road surfaces and when steering is on right hand lock. The STC warning light is on, associated with the steering  rack issue. ABS warning light is also on diagnosed as a fault with the ABS sensor. A sign of wear in the gear box shows when the car occasionally slips between gear changes causing a fractional delay in gear selection. If the above issues were sorted, the result would be a beautiful classic example of this now rare model as the car is otherwise in above average condition.
