Here on offer is a rare antique English pewter plate dating to the very early 18th century marked with an unknown touchmark, as found.
This wonderful pewter plate has a simple rim that gives way to the bouge and then onto the broad flat
base of the dish. The pewter has a dark soft grey age related patination,
surface marks and deformation from use, there is some oxidation. Please study the photos. The rim has an engraving of the initials 'I.B.'
The style is typical of such dishes from the early-1700’s. The pewter plate has a touchmark for a maker that I have been unable to identify.
This wonderful pewter plate is offered in good used antique condition, it measures about 22.8cm in
diameter by 2cm and weighs 555g.
A rare and highly collectable pewter plate.
Please see my
pictures for the details of the condition.
