This portrait was probably taken in Sydney, unknown photographer. Interesting to note that the year of 1888, marked Australia's Centenary of English settlement.
Condition? :
Check photos in description, but in my opinion, for its age, the photograph is in acceptable good condition.
In general terms, Expect some light surface marks , and wear from age/handling.

Rare.....most likely the only one printed and purchased by the family of the subjects in the picture. This photograph was found in a moderate collection of other old Australian produced CDV's /calling cards/cabinet cards.
