This Swiss made, J12 Chronograph fine timepiece sports hi-performance materials throughout the design. A mix of stainless steel, aluminum, ceramic and rubber brings a serious, tough, yet light-weight sporting design ethos. Chanel has created a timeless design icon with the J12 line and these Superleggera (literally translated means "Superlight") are at the high-end of the mechanical timepiece food chain in the J12 catalog. And this mechanical, automatic movement chronograph is among the most iconic references.

With that in mind, some additional considerations about this watch include:
1. This watch is medium sized at 41mm and works well on small to medium. It brings a modern sporting look and I can recommend this watch for somebody with a wrist size from 6 inches in circumference and larger up to 7 inches. I have an above average size wrist and this watch works well on my wrist but only barely. My wrist is around 7+1/8 to 7+1/4" inches and this watch is really tight and snug on my wrist. As such, I am most comfortable recommending this for a wrist up to 7 inches only. I did take this with me on a cool ski trip to Italy where it performed admirably on the mountains... at Apres Ski... and in Milan and Venice. Stylish and a conversation magnet. Like a Ferrari.
2. This is peculiar watch that makes a modern sporting and intelligent kind of statement. This watch is made for casual times and is pretty much perfect with a black leather jacket, a black, grey or white t-shirt and jeans look or for going out to a cool club, bar or restaurant. Very much a super-cool looking on the watch on the wrist and for watch afficianados this is one of those "in the know" timepieces.
3. The black rubber bracelet is awesome and it holds very well on the wrist which is great because the watch definitely feels light (but still sufficiently substantial) and high-quality on the wrist. The clasp sort of snaps down like a clam shell and is super secure on the wrist.
4. Highlights on this one include the interesting, sporting dial --- the classic chronograph registers, the use of depth, applied indices and very much racing design ethos is just plain cool. I feel this is also very Italian in design so if you like brands like Ferrari, Moto Guzzi, Ducati, Lamborghini, Formula 1 racing, cool boats and airplanes this this is a great choice.
5. Tremendous value in automatic chronograph watch making here with the hi-tech, high performance materials such as the ceramic tachymeter bezel, mix of aluminum, stainless steel and rubber. It just works wonderfully which is why this is a high demand timepiece typically purchased at $4K+ pre-owned.
6. Chanel is of course legendary and this avante-garde chronograph timepiece is squarely in their "wheelhouse" of what they do exceptionally well. This watch often generates conversations and is immediately recognizeable as a luxury timepiece. These variants are cool in either the black/black colorway or this one (which I prefer) silver/black. I also love the Chanel Marine J12 line but that is one to find for my collection on another day...
7. Additional Chanel collateral --- box, CD, book --- as noted in the "everything picture" rounds out this listing.
