This is an R serial stainless steel and 18k gold Rolex Submariner head ref. 16803 with black dial and black bezel insert. This is the TRANSITIONAL MODEL! It is the first sapphire crystal , quickset two tone Submariner model, and was made for a short time before the Ref. 16613. We did NOT get the original bracelet/box/papers with this watch. It comes exactly as shown.

The watch has scratches and some small dings on the lugs - see photos for condition. The crystal has small chips around the edges and the bezel insert has some very small scratches! The pearl is in good shape. The dial has aged a bit, and there are some dark spots on some of the lume.  Overall great collectible sport model !

Model and serial numbers are readable between the lugs. Model 16803, serial number R651XXX. The watch was produced around 1988.

The watch is running and currently is about 20 seconds per day slow according to our timing machine. We do not warranty the timekeeping, and it will need service to keep time and keep running.
