Die Firma Sequential von Dave Smith war pleite – und der Altmeister ging zur Firma Korg, um dort die Wavestation zu entwickeln. Vector-Synthese wie im berühmten Prophet VS.

Die schon aus dem Prophet VS bekannte Vektorsynthese erlaubt, das Lautstärkeverhältnis von bis zu vier verschiedenen Klangquellen mittels eines Joysticks – die Steuerung erfolgt dynamisch und in Echtzeit. Das Ergebnis sind leicht morphende und sich ständig verändernde Klangverläufe. So kann zum Beispiel ein perkussiver Glöckchen-Sound in einer Fläche überblendet werden, oder ein harter Digital-Sound kann in einer warmen Analog-Fläche enden. Der Fantasie sind hierbei keine Grenzen gesetzt.“

Die Wavestation A/D ist in sehr gutem Zustand mit minimalen Gebrauchsspuren und funktioniert tadellos. Das Display funktioniert einwandfrei und ist gut ablesbar, die Hintergrundbeleuchtung hat an Leuchtkraft verloren

Dave Smith's Sequential company went bust - and he went to Korg to develop the Wavestation. Vector synthesis as in the Prophet VS: "Vector synthesis with the Korg Wavestation" While most other synthesizers use static waveforms, the Wavestation takes a completely different approach. Already known from the Prophet VS, vector synthesis allows to control the volume ratio of up to four different sound sources using a joystick - the control is dynamic and in real time. The result is slightly morphing and constantly changing sound progressions. For example, a percussive bell sound can be blended into a surface, or a hard digital sound can end in a warm analog surface. There are no limits to the imagination here." (Amazona)

The Korg Wavestation A/D is in very good condition with only minor signs of use and works flawlessly. The display works fine, only the backlight is weak.
