It is necessary to use the clips and retaining ring from your stock 9-3 speaker and to remove the mounting ears from the new speaker, then installation is straightforward. I personally replaced the old Saab 4" center dash speaker (pictured on the Kenwood box) with the other speaker purchased in this box and have included photos of it installed. This is a 2006 Saab 9-3 with the 7 speaker system.
