Victory
Industries
were
based in Guildford,
Surrey
and
produced their first model in 1948,
this was of a speedboat called “Miss
England”.
This was followed by the Midget
Racer
also in 1948,
this model was made from aluminium. Due to the success of the racer
they expanded and produced a more comprehensive range of products.
These were to be made using moulded plastic for the bodies and they produced a number of other makes of cars and also trucks. This range included the VAUXHALL VELOXs. All of these models share the same feature in that they were battery powered and propelled by the Might Midget Micro motor, this was available from the company as a model making accessory.
Later the company introduced VIP Model Roadways in 1957 and then VIP Raceways in 1961 which competed, unsuccessfully, with Scalextric during the first slot car boom.

CHARACTERISTICS *
- This is a beautifully made model to a scale of 1:18 in glossy dark blue hard plastic (1st plastic time) with an overall length of 9.5”. It is accompanied by a second body belonging to the VAUXHALL VELOX 2nd series model as a gift with its original box, made of high-gloss plastic in a beautiful dark green color, with all its details.
- The brightwork such as the bumpers’ grill, door handle, side trims, fins, emblems, chrome decoration elements typical of this model are made from aluminium... it comes HIGHLY DETAILED. Seats, steering wheel and window glazing are included.
- Highly detailed front and rear optics + lights very very nice (1st version)
- The chassis is secured to the body by two screws at the rear, this incorporates the battery compartment, the electric motor and the ‘on-off’ switch. The car used to work perfectly with 3 x R14/C batteries.
- The car is powered by a 'MIGHTY MIDGET' electric motor Regd, Design 873831 Patent Pending.

- The cardboard box is very well illustrated and includes details of Victory Industries as well as the VAUXHALL brand. Keep the original manufacturer documentation as well as your warranty document
