Material used:

This sale is for a custom 3D printed Body for a custom RC Project. It is printed using ASA filament for superior heat, water, and abrasive resistance over the typical PLA filament that other makers are using in their products.  We have thoroughly tested the ASA material in various rock crawling competitions and have been pleased with it's results.  ASA is considerably stronger than the general PLA that you see in some other makers prints available today.  ASA plastic prints at a considerably higher temperature than PLA thus it has a much higher heat resistance for crawling outside in the sun. ASA will not get soft or warp in direct sunlight like PLA. While PLA may have its place, we feel that it is sub par with the conditions that these items may see, which is why we choose ASA for this product.

Finishing recommendations:

If you are going to make custom windows, printed templates are provided.  We have found that gluing the windows in place using "Glue 'n' Glaze" has produced the best results as it will not fog the plastic like super glue will and dries to a crystal-clear finish.  

We print the body parts with a layer height of 0.20 to produce a final product with fine details requiring minimal finishing effort from the buyer for a beautiful finish. if desired we recommend sanding with 120, then 300, and finished with 600 grit.  We then suggest 1 to 2 coats of high fill automotive filler primer followed by final coats of your desired color. We prefer using automotive grade spray paints from your local auto parts store for the best results.  You do not need to sand in order to paint.  The level of finish achieved is up to the buyer.  Some filler may be needed in areas to complete that finished mirror look.

For our advanced buyers, being that this is printed in ASA which is a derivative of ABS, the Acetone smoothing method may also be utilized. Please research on safety precautions and methods of use before attempting to use this technique as misuse of this technique can permanently damage the product and is a very dangerous process to perform as Acetone fumes are very harmful and flammable.

Items are shipped within three to five business days of the order being placed.  

Returns:

Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase. For a refund the item must be returned in the exact same condition in which it was originally shipped. Partial refunds are not authorized under any circumstances. Refunds are only for the product itself, Shipping is non-refundable.  Any and all concerns should be brought to our attention, and we will do our best to help resolve any issues.  Shipping charges are non-refundable.

***Incorrect use of acetone or any other finishing processes on the item can cause damage and improper finishing damage will not be offered returns or refunds.***

All our listings are for items that are printed and ready to ship.  There is no lead time on waiting for items to be produced before shipping.
