Hold onto one round gourd in your palm 

The Second gourd should hang between your second and third finger (thumb is first finger)

Swing the second around gourd around the back of your hand around your pinky finger and grab.

Swing it around your thumb then around your pinky finger so that both gourds slightly hit each other in your palm
