Here is a 1940 Adelphi mandolin (sn. 16128). There are currently only 46 known surviving Adelphi mandolins in Felix Wiedler's Unofficial New York Epiphone Registry database. Btw, if you like pre-Gibson Epiphones, I cannot recommend Felix's website highly enough! As you can see in the pictures, this instrument is still in very good shape. The worst thing I can say about it is that the binding has shrunk a bit, and a couple pieces have fallen off (the piece from the treble-side is in the pocket of the OHSC, which is also included). Not everybody has had one of these in their hands, so a little more info: this mandolin has a 1 7/32" nut; the scale length is 13 3/16"; and the lower bout width is 10 1/2". This mandolin plays very easily, and has a nice bright sound. I am listing a couple other vintage Epiphone instruments, so be sure to check my other listings.
