Entirely made by hand in the village of Fedoskino in Russia from papier-mache, hand painted and signed by the artist. Classic red on the inside of the box. A remarkable piece with a lot of real gold used and many layers of lacquer. Classic Russian lacquer box, a beauty to behold in person. Size is 6-1/4" X 2-5/8" X 1-1/2" in excellent condition.
