1977 Press Photo Molly St. Paul, Dick & Amelie Walthen sit out dance at Tut Ball

This is an original press photo. Molly St. Paul, above, sits a dance out with Dick and Amelie Walthen at the second Tut ball formally known as the Mid-Winter Odyssey Ball at the New Orleans Museum of Art. Tis the season to be a little jolly and a lotta busy, busy, busy. And everyone on the social scene seems to be more of the latter than the former. Barbara (Mrs. Beryl) Laufer, chairman of the Women's Volunteer Committee, and Molly (Mrs. Townsley St. Paul, a former WVC chairman at the New Orleans Museum of Art, who've been working out at the museum moving hundreds of people through the King Tut exhibit, stopped long enough Friday to fill the tent next to the museum with Egyptian flowers, the Jubilation band, and food. The tent, however, was not filled with people. But that made it an even better party and a better way to view the King Tut exhibit for the less than 500 who did attend the Mid-Winter Odyssey Ball. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 12-06-1977.
