THE COLLECTOR'S ENCYCLOPEDIA OF LIMOGES PORCELAIN by Mary Frank Gaston. PUBLISHER: Collector Books, Has 223 pages. A 1992 copyright.

In this second edition of The collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain, Mary Frank Gaston has continued her research of marks and objects of this particular china which is increasingly attracting collectors in the antiques market place. Approximately 100 companies and over 260 marks are included with 500 color photographs of a variety of art objects, decorative accessories, and table wares. An important distinction between French decorated Limoges and American decorated Limoges is emphasized, a differentiation which is necessary for the advanced collector. While the first edition focused on Limoges factories other than Haviland & Co., this revised work includes the Havilands, thus making this a more complete reference on the subject.
