Unusual Antique Victorian silver trinket box with a hinged lid and repousse decoration.  The box lid is decorated with the coat of arms for 'The Worshipful Company of Grocers' one of the 11 livery companies of the City of London, ranking second in order of precedence and formed in 1345.  The striking emblem also states the companies motto, God Grant Grace.  The box has a gold gilt interior which has some age related wear and a hinged lid which appears to have been repaired at some point but works well.  Full hallmarks stamped to lid and base for London 1895 with makers mark JNW for John Newton Mappin of the well regarded Mappin & Webb.  Stamped to base Mappin & Webb London.
