Description

This is a veteran, but still nice, relic from the “German Empire” of the infamous Kaiser Wilhelm II of World War I. It is a "Fünf" or Five Mark note, dated Halloween, October 31, 1904.

On March 3, 1904, Kaiser Wilhelm II became the first person to make a political recording of a document using Thomas Edison’s “phonograph cylinder”. Additionally, in April, the German Imperial Navy introduced “SOS” as a distress signal.
