Kochmann's book is a classic and should be in any clockmaker/cuckoo clock enthusiast's library. This book is from an original printing of 1250 copies in 1978. It is Kochmann's 5th book on clockmaking. It covers cuckoo clock history as well as detailed instruction for building and repairing clocks, complete with numerous diagrams and photo. The author writes an interesting self-defense at the end of the book, against claims of disinterest among publishers and sometimes harsh criticism from German clockmaking and antiquarian organizations that he describes as "Demogogic". It's an interesting book regardless of your clockmaking interest.
