This is a neat Captain Kirk (ie young William Shatner) glass, one of four in the series, sponsored by Dr. Pepper in 1976.

It is interesting to note that Star Trek, originally released in 1966 (ie thanks to the efforts of Lucille Ball!), was canceled in 1969 after three seasons; fortunately there were enough episodes for the show to be funneled into syndication (ie after the Apollo moon landing), and by 1972, the AP had declared it "....the show that won't die". That year the first Star Trek convention was organized in NYC, attracting more than 3000 Trekkies....and four years later the glass being offered was produced!

This particular glass measures 6" tall and 2.75" in diameter across the brim. It has been packed away for decades, and its paint is shiny and bright. No discrepancies noted; this glass is in next-to-new condition and is sure to please!
