This display bowl is a striking piece - its intricate rim and bright colors have been very well preserved, making it a unique addition to any collection. It is unclear how old this piece is since it is only stamped with "Italy" on the bottom, but the tin-glazing technique means it is likely to be antique, as Maiolica (which was later anglicized to Majolica) was popular during the Renaissance up until it saw more competition from modern porcelains. The bowl measures 11" by 9.5" and it stands 6.5" tall.
