It reinterprets the scene the jailbreak of the Fratelli's ending in a ring of fire around the jail. This work also shows the unique perspective of the current 2024 business, The Oregon Film Museum.
Artist Missy StRain has lived in Astoria for over 15 years. The original painting is created using India ink and gouache on repurposed light refraction screens from recycled televisions.
Other current projects include "Illuminated Astoria", which reimagines scenes of movies filmed in Astoria, Oregon, and "inebriated Astoria" which cerebrates the ambiance and character of Astoria bar scene and nightlife.
