This is a rare find!
A fabulous pendant necklace with a wonderful gold coloured metal centre piece depicting mythical beasts.
It is possibly from the Art Nouveau era or a little later.
The necklace is made of a Bakelite type plastic, Galalith or similar hard plastic and it is held with gilt wires.
The beads are all ovals in pale orange, some are slightly faded and the largest bead is approx 18mm by 12mm.
The necklace length is approx 31",79cm.
The pendant measures approx 35mm in diameter.
It has not been cleaned, just a gentle wipe to remove any dust.
This is a vintage necklace which shows signs of wear, age and use.

I collect the unusual and rare, not necessarily expensive, I like the history and craftsmanship and skill in antique and vintage pieces and of course anything with a good sparkle! Jewellery reflects the design of each decade, style and different cultures or countries and I love things that tell a story. I like to imagine where that piece of jewellery has been worn and by who.
