Latin for "Invincible", Invicta was founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland by Raphael Picard. Picard had the radical notion that fine Swiss timepieces could be offered at modest prices. In 1837 Invicta began handcrafting its first watches and for well over a century this diligent company created manual and automatic winding pieces of exceptional design and construction. In 1991, the descendents of the Invicta family re-established the brand holding firm to Picard's founding principle of affordable luxury. This Specialty timepiece begins with a round silver-tone stainless steel case. The 50 mm wide case supports silver-tone pedal-style function pushers, push/pull crown, topped with a blue fixed bezel. Housing a Flame Fusion crystal and a Swiss Made Ronda 5040.D Quartz Chronograph movement. Presenting an ambitious arrangement, the round dial emerges in black with the blue bezel or blue with the gold-tone bezel. Featuring a sunray outer dial and a textured center dial, this Specialty displays a 60-seconds subdial near 3:00, a 1/10th-seconds subdial above 6:00 and a 30-minute subdial near 9:00. A date window settles near 4:00 and a seconds track lines the outer wall of the dial. Luminous Tritnite lights thr path around the dial on the hour, minute and subdial hands with blue  trim as well the seconds hand and its dial. Round index markers fill all the hour positions in Tritnite while the chronograph hand contrasts in solid bezel coordinating color with the Invicta Reserve logo on its end. “Invicta Reserve” shines below 12:00 while “Swiss Made” rests at 6:00. A stainless steel bracelet completes this Specialty in smart silver-tone. The bracelet secures with a deployant clasp etched with the Invicta name and a safety catch etched with the Invicta logo.
