All 6 have the Herman Miller stamp on the base of the shell, with 1 of them having part of the original patent label. They are believed to be 1950's, but it is difficult to know for sure if they are mid fifties or early sixties without studying the patent numbers.
These rare elephant grey coloured shells from the 1950s, are in excellent condition, with no marks or chips, and are sat upon newer slick black Eiffel legs. These have two sets of feet (one type on 3 and the other on 3 - as shown in the photo). Barely noticeable unless you're looking side by side, and not at all when positioned around a dining table.
The new Vitra version of this retails for £340 each (John Lewis or Vitra websites). These are the originals, very difficult to acquire as singles, and extremely difficult to acquire as a set of 6.
Collection or post possible. Chair shells will be separated from the bases and posted as 2 boxes for safe passage. Postage cost is for total cost, not per box.
