This is a fantastic pair of absolutely beautifully carved Regency or Regence French tapestry upholstered chairs in their original tapestry and finish. The chairs feature robust, extremely crisp carving and a wonderful patina and have never been distrubed as far as we can tell. The chairs may have some minor age related upholstery wear or stains but nothing that changes the fact that these are important and rare chairs. They have northwin faces carved on the front rails and incredible legs and arms. Measures 42.75 tall x 28 wide x 29.5 deep and the seat height is 18.5 tall. Dates to the 1850s era and are absolutely incredible.
