Travelling fairs traditionally form a
major aspect of the Easter Bank Holiday scene in London’s parks. Joseph
Manning’s presentation at Finsbury Park as usual offered a fine selection of
rides, and with a controlled entry system, provided a safe environment for
families to enjoy themselves to the full.
Away to the east, London & Home Counties Section chairman Charles Mayne was in charge of the country’s largest Easter fair at Wanstead Flats. Again there was an excellent selection of attractions on offer.
