Description
This is a stained but still rather nice, crispy, near uncirculated, large, oversize, “Ein Hundert” or 100 Mark, "Sächsische Bank" or Bank of Saxony note from the German Kingdom or State. It is dated January 2, 1911. This was during the “German Empire” period before World War I.
The “Sächsische Bank”, was founded in 1865 at Dresden, with a State concession and initial capital of 5 Million Thalers. It was primarily focused on serving the “Kingdom of Saxony”. It expanded its capital in 1873 and later changed its currency base to Marks. Somehow, it survived World War I and the inflationary period following but unfortunately, the “Bank of Saxony” met its demise following World War II and was liquidated.
Size: 159 x 103 Millimeters. Oversize holder necessary and INCLUDED.

The Note: A stained but still crispy example, it has some wrinkles but has not been folded or creased. It has a single small edge tear but no pinholes. The note will be sent in a new “oversize” currency holder that protects it. As grading is subjective, please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
