Description

This is a woodblock print by Kawase Tosui. It is rubbed with a woodblock on a silk book (silk fabric), not on Japanese paper. Although there are only a few types and numbers, such silk-bound woodblock prints exist among Tomoe Sui's works. Small size. Very rare. Silk-bound books are usually used for hanging scroll works of old Japanese paintings.
Date of production = unknown, but it is quite old.
There is no signature or stamp, but please be assured that this is a genuine Hasui work, having been purchased from the publisher Watanabe Mokuhanga Shop.
The overall size of the print paper is approximately 16 cm (length) x 9.8 cm (width) 6.2 x 3.8"
