Vintage c1970 John Hinde Postcard Slea Head, Co. Kerry, Dingle Peninsula Ireland, Wild Atlantic Way

General description: This is a John Hinde posted vintage postcard from around 1970 showing a colour photographic image of Slea Head, Co. Kerry . The postcard was posted from Dingle, Co. Kerry (Daingean) to Sandymount, Dublin.

Image on front: It is a colour photographic image taken in Summer on a fine day it shows a section of the road at Slea Head in County Kerry. A small red car, a FIAT 600, is in the foreground. It bears a Limerick registration plate. A stream crosses the road. The road surface is quite rugged. The caption “Slea Head, Dingle Peninsula, Co. Kerry” is printed in black on the white margin, as is “Photo: R. Beer, John Hinde Studios”.

Back of card: The postcard has been used and posted. There is a message on the card, an address, and a 2 and ½  penny brown Éire stamp. The postmark is for Daingean (dingle). The date on the postmark is hard to make out.

Posted/Unposted: Posted from Dingle, Co. Kerry to Sandymount, Dublin

Date/Age: From around 1970. Over 50 years old.

Size: 14.8 cm by 10.4cm

Condition: The card is used and has been posted, and is at least 50 years old. Considering this, it is in very good condition in my opinion. The image is clear and bright, the back of the card isn't pristine clean, there is a small blot on the left (coffee?) regardless it looks good. Very slight wear to some of the corners and edges. Please examine the photographs to see the condition yourself.
