Here's a large size early pontiled hand blown glass pantry storage jar or apothecary drugstore jar from the 1860s with its original tin lid....You are only buying the ONE larger jar on the right.....hand blown in dip mold, so there are no mold seams....rough pontil scar on sunken bottom....crude smooth sheared wide mouth......clear....9 7/8"tall ...10"with lid x 4 3/4"round....Excellent condition with no chips or damage. Some old light inside dust haze. Normal old wear on bottom. Original tin lid has hand soldered seam and is really nice and solid with no rust or holes. Lid just sits down over the rim and rests on shoulder of jar.   Guaranteed authentic and over 150 years old. This type of jar was very popular with women in the mid 1800s for storing herbs, beans, dried goods,etc. Also druggists used this type of jar for storing powdered medicines and dried ingredients for compounding prescriptions...
