This walking stick features an intricate hand-carved laughing hyena top, furnished with original sharp glass eyes.

Under the hyena is a silver collar Hallmarked for:
'London 1920'
With a makers mark:

'C.C'
For the famous walking stick and whip silversmith:
'Charles Cooke'

'This walking stick can be attributed to Brigg. Charles Cooke was the chief stick mounter for Thomas Brigg and Sons from 1888. They also worked with the famous carver August Czilinsky'

The collar also features a presentation for the original owner:

'E.Cairns'

Malacca shaft with an original brass ferrule.
