Antique Reliquary Silk MARIA SS. LAURETANA Church of St. Philip Benizi Chicago

Welcome to my auction for this amazing estate fresh find!  This is a beautiful reliquary printed on silk fabric.  It features Maria SS. Lauretana, who is venerated in the church of St. Philip Benizi of Chicago, Illinois.  At the bottom it says Whoever Recites an Ave will have 100 days of Plenary Indulgence.  A plenary meaning full indulgence is a special type of indulgence that, if all the requirements are met, removes all temporal punishment due to one's sin.

The fabric piece measures approx. 9.75" wide by 13" tall.  Based on the tiny pin holes, I'm guessing it was originally framed and the fabric was tucked in and nailed in place.  The colors are vibrant and highly detailed.
