"6147th TAC. CTRL. GP. MOSQUITOES"
- This is the reproduction of the flight jacket, type B-15C with the "Mosquitoes" patch. The mission of the "MOSQUITO" unit was to locate enemy ground installations and enemy troop movements and drop smoke bombs to radio the overflying fighter bombers through ground units so that they could attack any targets. The name "MOSQUITO" was given to this unit because it was literally like a "mosquito," unpredictable as to when and where it would appear, and they were abhorred and feared by the North Korean military. In February 1954, on the way to her honeymoon in Japan, Marilyn Monroe visited K-47 (Chuncheon) in Korea to comfort soldiers and put on a show titled "ANYTHING GOES," a famous story that is still told today. At this time, the U.S. military welcomed the great actress with a special flight jacket for her, a "B-15C," and even decorated it with the "Mosquito" patch of the stationed troops.
