Vintage Majolica Faience Peacock Pottery Vase.

Gorgeous piece with much mystery! Moderately rare, only a handful have been noted, with no definite history, but plenty of discussion! It has been recognized that it is in fact vintage, most likely to be c1970, inspired by Louis Comfort Tiffany's Peacock Lamp that can be seen in the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (attached photo) this is more often claimed to be Italian. This is in excellent vintage condition, no chips or cracks and only minor crazing, that is not detectable at first glance. Listing prices and sold items are $400-$875, except for two modified pieces where they were finished as lamps, went about a hundred lower.
