The scarf is woven using the unique combination of camel (darker stripes) and sheep wool (lighter stripes).

Nomadic Turkmen (Turkoman) people living in the Garagum (Kara-Kum) desert have traditionally woven garments from the wool of dromedary (one-hump) camels, not only to keep warm. The special healing effect of camel hair from this region has been proven over centuries, including due to its finer fiber, lanolin content and pleasant tingling effect.
