Ceramic pickle castor with a round silver insert.  I have researched but unable to find out what this was for.  

Item made in late 1800's by Toronto Company and is quadruple plated.  There are no tongs but these can be easily purchased.

Ceramic castor has the number 13(?) on the bottom of it which may refer to a production style.  Some of the gilt has faded.

Stand is approx. 13"-14" high and 7" wide.

Front side of castor is ceramic with pink carmellia (?), brown leaves and a dragonfly.  Back side is brown leaves.

Stand is footed with 2 soldiers.  In picture it appears that there is some paint (?) on the face.  I honestly did not notice this until I posted so unsure (as item is already wrapped and ready for shipping).
