This is a vintage Strawberry Shortcake Snail Cart Playset, #43200, made in 1980 by Kenner.

Featuring Escargot the snail with the moving head

Not recommended for children 3 years old & under

Escargot’s head nods back and forth as you push the cart along.

The cart seat changes into a picnic table and the top of the big strawberry becomes an umbrella.

Escargot will take all the Strawberry Shortcake friends for a ride!

Hi! I’m Strawberry Shortcake from the Wonderful World of Strawberry Land. I just love my Snail Cart. You will too! Let’s start!

1)    Decorate it by putting on the labels like you see here. Put the placemats on the table like you see on the back.

2)    Next, put the Snail’s eyes on him. Make sure you put the eyes on Escargot, the Snail, correctly or he will be cross-eyed.

3)    Let’s Have a Strawberry Picnic! Huckleberry Pie puts the harness on Escargot (tabs in harness fits into slots in Snail.)

4)    The cart fits on the peg between the Strawberry wheels.

5)    Blueberry Muffin and I put the ice cream and dishes and spoons into the big Strawberry. Ice cream fits upside down into the Strawberry.

6)    We load it into the cart and go on a berry wonderful picnic.

7)    When you push Escargot along, his head moves from side to side.

8)    We love to have a picnic by the Strawberry Soda Stream. When we arrive, we all help get ready (except for Apple Dumplin’ ‘cause she’s too little.) Seat belts on the side of the Snail Cart hook in place to hold us in our seats.
