Sweden's leading orthodox heavy metal band, Hammerfall.
Its formation dates back to 93.
Hammerfall originally started as a side project for Oskar Dronyak and In Flames' Jesper Stromblad (both of whom were in a death metal band called Ceremonial Orth), but in '96, current vocalist Joachim Kans joined.
The following year, in '97, he made his album debut with "Glory to the Brave".
In the Swedish metal scene at the time, which was almost entirely extreme metal, the appearance of Hammerfall playing good old heavy metal was a fresh surprise.
They spearheaded the revival of orthodox heavy metal in Sweden and the global metal scene.
This time, the 20th anniversary edition of Hammerfall's 4th album "Crimson Thunder" in 02 will be released.
This album became a platinum disc in its home country of Sweden.
Hammerfall fans and heavy metal fans will be familiar with the contents, but this 20th anniversary edition is a special edition of 3 CDs.
