Cox pretty much put the other small glow engine makers out of business in their day.
The other companies just couldn’t compete with the lower manufacturing costs driven mainly by their crankcase machining efficiencies.
It also helped that they were one of the best engines of their era.
As well, their piston and cylinder fits were consistently better than the competition. Good enough that you could swap a new piston from one engine to a cylinder in another and still have a decent fit.

This
motor has good cosmetics and excellent compression.
Note the fine thread Kustom Kraftsmanship needle valve which provides more consistent needle settings than the original Cox assembly.
Slight pinch at top dead center consistent with the Cox (pre Este) built tapered cylinders.
The 5x3 Zinger prop shown in the photos is included with the motor. The glow plug is good.
These are some of the best value priced engines in the market for free flight and control line.
