Scarce original edition of 1611 of the most important work by the Count from Ferrara Paolo Brusantini (1552-1625) a very commited person in that hystorical period.
The work is dividd in three times places in the Estense Villa of Spezzano ""...che trattano tre modi di governo: in tempo di pace, di sospetto di guerra e di guerra aperta. Interlocutori sono il Laderchi, Ernesto Bevilacqua, poi governatore di Carpi e di Reggio, Alfonso Fontanelli, Fabio Scotti, Ippolito Bentivogli: tutti ferarresi e tutti viventi quando si stampava l'opera, che anche da questo trae parte del suo interesse, per essere il tentativo di teorizzare il dominio di nuovi gruppi...""
